No-Break Nebulizers are available in versions that are suited to all types of
ICP instruments and
through a range of aspirated uptakes from 20 ul/min. up to high uptakes of more than 2 ml/min.

The Lucida is in a class apart from the others, since its aspirated uptake is below 10 ul/min.
- a sample uptake so low that its primary aerosol at ambient conditions is barely visible to the unaided eye.
Above is a curve relating the typical aspiration of a Lucida nebulizer to its applied pressure.
Curves such as this can be quickly measured with EPOND's
XENA electronic uptake meter.
The useful uptake range extends well above the aspiration maximum shown above though -
If sample is pumped to a Lucida nebulizer, it's possible to efficiently nebulize sample up to
between 20 and 40 ul/min.
The Lucida can be used for :
(a) LC-ICP-MS, where its ultra-low aspiration matches LC flow rates, and
(b) Direct-Injection ICP, because its primary aerosol is so fine that it can
be injected directly into the base of an ICP torch.
